It is what it is! This became my mantra last year. It is what it is! This became my mantra last year.  When you spend 3 years being sleep deprived, struggling with your business, your mental health and your physical health you learn A LOT!  Yoga helped me to dive deep into something bigger than me. It's not stretching (although that's gorgeous) it's not fancy breathing, it's not sitting on a mountain top contemplating life.  It's living with the yamas and niyamas. It's embracing your dharma and allowing yourself to be taken where you're needed.  2023 had started a lot slower than I thought it might. A lot of self reflection and openness. My take on The 8 Limbs of Yoga - Asana The physic My take on The 8 Limbs of Yoga - Asana  The physical practise of Yoga is what everyone generally believed yoga is. Often put in the same grouping as stretching or pilates however the fact is this a small bit of what yoga really is.  If we go a little deeper into yoga you will see that actually the only 'posture' is sitting comfortably. Thats literally all that is really mentioned in the Yoga Sutras.  All of the moving we do now is a preparation to be able to sit comfortably so we can move into meditation.  Now I LOVE asana, I love how it makes me feel, how it improves my strength and how it can bring me closer to myself in so many ways. But lets not get confused - doing headstands and the splits, forcing your body into impossible postures for the sake or your ego (or instagram) isnt yoga.  #realyoga #notjustasana #asana
