My take on The 8 Limbs of Yoga Pratyahara is roug My take on The 8 Limbs of Yoga  Pratyahara is roughly translated as withdrawl of the senses. It doesnt actually mean we blindfold ourselves or plug our ears.  It actually means to become so absorbed in something that we no longer sense the outside world.  This might sound like meditation but perhaps more relatable is mindfulness, where we are able to focus our awareness on something like the breath or a candle and not be distracted by anything else.  I often get people asking how they can 'turn off' their brains. My answer is you cant (sadly) however you can practise focusing your awareness so you brain no longer takes you off. I find yin yoga and restorative classes amazing places for this.  #notjustasana #mindfulness #mindful #pratyahara
