In a world where teenagers are experiencing such high levels of academic and social pressures, whilst their bodies and brains are going through massive changes, it is so important to make sure they feel supported, healthy and confident.
By teaching yoga and mindfulness, we can offer young people the tools to reduce stress, build strength and flexibility, learn to love themselves and escape for a little while.
This workshop will introduce yoga as an enjoyable physical practice, that intertwines a mindful approach to help bring about awareness of breath, self-acceptance and compassion. We will start the class with breathing exercises, followed by a physical practice with fun partner yoga and end the session with a deep and powerful relaxation/meditation technique called Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep.
Held at our cosy Hazel Grove Studio with Chelsea. Chelsea is a registered yoga teacher with a specialist qualification in Yoga and Minfulness for Teens (with Charlotta Martinus of TeenYoga). She currently teaches weekly adult and teen yoga classes in Stockport and Manchester.
Investment is only £12 per person and parents are welcome to attend however this is a dedicated space for teens. All mats and props are provided
