This monthly 2 hour guided immersion back into our body-minds, is the perfect antidote to this fast paced modern world, physically, mentally and spiritually.

We’ll be edging towards stillness, starting with a gentle Qi Gong set and self-touch through acupressure points to start stimulating our meridian lines (energetic pathways) and to help us move away from our thinking minds, grounding ourselves back into our physical bodies.

The remainder of the workshop will be dedicated to the beautifully deep practice of yin, where we will hold floor based postures whilst supported and held by yoga props for several minutes, so that we can truly let go both physically and mentally.

You will be guided appropriately throughout, in terms of physical and emotional sensation, whilst working with the breath.

We will end with a beautiful yoga Nidra, where we will maintain a deep blissful awareness, whilst allowing the body to enter into a fully restful state.

All workshops are designed around 5 element theory, stemming from Traditional Chinese Medicine and blended with Indian yogic practices.

Benefits of Yin include:

Yin postures and breathwork combined, brings rest for the nervous system; assists in recovery from longterm stress, exhaustion, overwhelm, burnout etc, by guiding you towards your parasympathetic state (rest and digest)

Expanded capacity for non-reactivity; build patience, kindness and self-compassion

Develop an ability to remain present; connect to Self through breath and learn to navigate the fluidity of thoughts and sensations, understanding their impermanence (non-attachment)

Improve interoception; your ability to understand and read signals from within your body, leading to a better understanding of internal sensations and emotions

Postures target deep connective tissue (fascia) and joints, creating a greater range of flexibility, whilst providing space for the joints therein reducing pain caused by friction

A combination of postures and breathwork help release the diaphragmatic muscles, leaving your breathing apparatus free to function optimally over time

Facilitates the regeneration of collagen and hyaluronic acid

Promotes hydration and reestablishes elasticity
