Pilates is a type of exercise which targets the postural muscles of the abdomen and spine to develop postural control, alignment, muscle strength, stability and flexibility. It is a mindful practice, with a focus on breathing and can help promote relaxation.
Pilates is suitable for all ages and fitness levels and is especially beneficial for those with back pain, poor postures, sports injuries and before and after pregnancy.
This is a physiotherapist led mat based class. It is suitable for beginners, those improving towards intermediate level and anyone in the need of a recap on the fundamentals of pilates. Classes will be delivered to a maximum of 12 participants, to ensure feedback on technique where required and to enhance your experience.
